Long & Short Finals 2022

The finals of this our last competition of the season was played in lovely sunshine on Saturday afternoon September 24th. The green was in wonderful condition after a busy year and a credit to the greens committee and all who helped maintain it during the year.

As in previous years Robbie Breen had arranged a cup and shield competition. The cup completion was won by Michael Cowley and Fergal Moore (standing in for Peter Knight) who overcame the challenge of Pauline and John Walsh.

In the shield final Dermot Russell and Paul Ryan got the better of Ed Hickey and Sean O’Hara, Sean standing in for Marie Hickey.

Prizes were also on hand for the beaten semifinalists, Kathleen Madigan, Declan Cooke, Noel Cassidy and Paul Herarty

A special thanks to Robbie for organising the competition, Tony Ferris for presenting the prizes, all who took part in the competition and those who came along to support their fellow bowlers on the day.
