Westmanstown had 3 great successes in the past 3 days.

Firstly on Sunday our Senior Sat team won the 2nd round of the Crumlin Cup and are now into the semi-finals.

On Monday afternoon our senior trips team ( Mary Breen, Bernie Edgeworth and Mary Wafer) played in the semi-finals of the ILB championships and beat Leinster to secure a place in the finals.

This evening our senior rinks team ( Mary Breen, Mary Wafer, Bernie Edgeworth and Anne Donaldson) played in the semi-finals of the ILB championships and beat Crumlin to secured a place in the finals.

All 3 games were decisive wins for Westmanstown so very well done to all.

It’s wonderful to see our club represented at these high levels – well done to all who got us there as there were many hard battles along the way.

Mixed Results for Westmanstown in Cup Matches

A big “ thank you” to our Sat div 1 squad and our Wed Div 2 squad who played today (12/7/26) in the league cups. It’s not often in Ireland that we can say the weather was so hot it was unbearable but it certainly was today.

The Sat Div 1 team were defending the Crumlin Cup which we won last year. They were successful and now advance to the next round – congratulations to everyone on the team .

The Wed Div 2 squad played in the Senior Cup . This is a new dedicated cup for this division. Unfortunately the match did not go our way . Everyone on the team did their best for 18 ends and never lost their committment to succeed.
We will try again next year.

Well done to everyone who played so well today in both matches .
