Westmanstown Ladies Win Again

The LBLI Junior Cup was won on Sunday 21st August by our fine team of players from Westmanstown. They had a decisive win against Crumlin, on a beautiful sunny morning in Clontarf.

Players worked hard on what was at times a difficult rink to master. We have a few photos here but there will soon be more on the LBLI/BLI website.

Very well done to all of the players and many thanks to our loyal supporters.

Div. 3 Stay Top of the League

It was a case of the blues v the reds in our local derby with North Kildare.

While North Kildare came out on top the point and a half earned by Westmanstown was enough to keep us at the top of the table. The match was moved to the morning to counter the high temperatures. Thanks to North Kildare for their hospitality after a hard fought match.

Thanks to Caroline Blake for the photos.

Proud Lady Captain Margaret Doyle with the Junior Triples teams.

The Junior Fours were also won by Westmanstown.  Players were Carmel Delaney, Sheila Gleeson, Mary Breen and Mary Wafer who beat Crumlin in the Final.

Westmanstown Junior Fours team

A very successful year for Westmanstown ladies.

In the semi finals, the Senior Fours were defeated by Dun Laoghaire and our Singles player, Mary Perdisatt, was defeated by S Ryan from Greystones.

Well done to all members who entered any of the LBLI competitions. The finals took place over a hugely enjoyable 4 days and the weather was the warmest of the summer, with blue skies every day.

All at the event had great fun while trying their hand at bowling . There was even a competition or two between grandparents versus their grandchildren 🥹. Below are some pictures of the day.
