The green is now closed for winter. In spite of the pandemic and restrictions 2021 proved to be a very successful season for Westmanstown Bowling Club.
In the BLI leagues the highlights were Vets 3a winning their league with Div. 4 team finishing 2nd in their league and in Div. 1 our team secured a respectable 3rd place in their return to the top flight.
Westmanstown hosted the BLI championships in August. The green was in excellent condition and both the competitors and supporters enjoyed a terrific week of top class bowling. Thanks to the greens committee and all who helped make this week such a success.
Finally we had our Club Competitions. These ran throughout the summer and culminated in the finals most of which were played on 2/3 of October. Thanks to all who took part and especially Iris Buchanan and Robbie Breen who did such a fine job organising the competitions.
