As our 2021 season commenced we were still living with some Covid restrictions. To encourage our ladies to resume bowling safely and get reacquainted we organised a social pairs competition. This was run on a Wednesday morning over 6 weeks with a random draw each week . 

We had lovely matches that still had a competitive edge.The best scores for an individual’s four weeks were counted. With the entry fees we bought some nice prizes …with First Prize going to Mary Wafer . 

Using the remaining fee money and extra donations received we were able to send 400 euro to the charity Fighting Blindness .

Westmanstown has been welcoming visiting B.L.I. leagues and championship teams to our green for the first time since 2019. Our teams have also been travelling to away rinks to play in what is a welcome return to inter club competition.
