Westmanstown Win The Crumlin Cup

Gerard Macken took his Crumlin Cup team back to Blackrock following their semi final success the previous week. The weather was kinder this time but the opposition Crumlin are regular cup winners and sure to provide stiff opposition.

While Crumlin put up a brave fight in the end Westmanstown prevailed winning by 70 points to 54. There were jubilant scenes after the match as Westmanstown lifted the trophy for the first time since 2013.

Gerard thanked all who played on the day and in previous rounds. This marks a winning end to a very successful 2025 for Westmanstown Bowling Club.

A Special Week for Westmanstown B.C.

We are delighted to report on a very successful week for the club.

On Sunday John Gleeson and his O’Dea Cup team travelled to Bray to take on Crumlin in the final of this competition. Westmanstown were worthy winners with a score of 70 points Crumlin’s 56 points. Congratulations to those who played on the day and those who played in the previous rounds.

Then on Wednesday afternoon the Division 1 team played their final league match of the 2025 season. Gerard Macken knew his team needed 3 points in the final game to top the table and retain the ILBI Perpetual Trophy.

In the end Westmanstown won in style collecting all 7 points against Dunlaoghaire. It was a long season and well done to all the players on the panel who contributed to bringing the league title back to Westmanstown for the second year in a row..

Crumlin Cup

Westmanstown were in action against Blackrock in the quarter finals of the Crumlin Cup. It was a very close affair with Westmanstown coming out top winning by 3 shots. The semi final will take place on Sep 14th in Blackrock where Westmanstown take on Bray for a place in the final.
